A fine old long handled Indian fighting axe.
Overall this axe measures just under 120cms long.
The axe head is 27cms tall and 18cms from the cutting edge to the iron spike. The heavy axe head sits atop of a hand spun timber shaft.
The head is firmly secured between an iron collar to the end of the haft and a large distally tapered spike protruding from this collar. The head tapers from approx 2cms thick down to the cutting edge.
The rear spike is capable of piercing iron and is a little over 5cms.
A nice unusual axe of large proportions.
