A fine presentation cane of unusual construction.
This cane measures just under 95cms.
The bulbous handle is Rosewood. Within the top of the handle is a thin gold band that surrounds a circular and curved mother of pearl inlay.
The hall marked silver collar has a large shield cartouche to one side and floral designs to the reverse.
Within the shield is a presentation that reads, "Presented to RTG by the village FA 1904". I suspect FA being Football Association.
The shaft is ebonised timber, likely Rosewood beneath.
The ferrule is a narrow brass type, worn to the base from years of use.
An interesting presentation cane worth of further research.
