A good large ivory hilted Patanni Keris.

This large hilted keris is without a sheath. It measures 47.5cms long and has a blade length of 38cms.
The ivory hilt of Patanni Jawa Demam form is very well carved. it shows a very old contrasting age patina with caramel warmth to one side and a more white aged side to the other. There is a minor lost to the peak of the dorsal fin.
The hilt cup or pendokok is a very fine and large type, one that shows amazing attention to detail, which would benefit from a clean.
The 9 luk Pandai Saras blade shows good crisp features to the base of the blade, hardened edges and some interesting differential steel patterning at the base.

A good large keris with a large ivory hilt.
