A sumatran Piso Podang sabre.

This Sumatran sabre meaures 68cms long and has a blade length of 57cms.
The large thick bronze hilt offers a perfect balance for the elegant slender blade. The hilt is of typical native form and style but has been cast in a specific manner with a deep curve that opens up the grip for a larger hand.
The blade is of native manufacture, is hollow forged and has clear pamor or pattern welded surfaces.

A very well balanced fighting sword with an unusual cant to the hilt.
