A good mid 20th century Hmong dagger.

An interesting knife of the type seen in the book by Elaine and Paul Lewis, Peoples of the Golden Triangle: Six Tribes in Thailand.
The knife measures 29.5cms long in its sheath, 27cms out and has a blade length of 17.5cms long.
The grip is bone and has a decorated pot metal collar and guard.
The blade is distal tapered to the cutting edge and tip.
In profile it has a deep forward curving belly and a full needle tip. Each face is decorated in unusual native motifs throughout.
The sheath is timber bound in pot metal strapping will all surfaces decorated. A modern nylon twine wrap reinforced with cloth binding to the rear is used as a suspension loop.

A good example of the type, comparable to the published examples.
