A very good complete Republican military dagger with sheath and suspension.

This dagger is 39.5cms long in its sheath, 37.5cms out and has a blade length just over 25cms.
The hilt is timber that appears to be leather covered and wire bound that sits under a large single piece of decorated brass that acts as both the grip slabs and pommel. The brass surfaces are decorated with flowers throughout and a large starburst or sun burst on the pommel.
Its guard is brass and it has a push button release from the sheath.
The sheath is plated steel capped in a decorative drag and through. This sits within a simple leather suspension with light steel buckles and leather strapping.
The blade is of earlier Jian form with a block ricasso, a double edged rofile and a small central fuller.

A harder to find genuine Chinese military dagger for the republican or military collector.
