A good Palembang keris with a very finely carved hulu.

Of classic and traditional form, this Palembang keris measures 49.5cms long in its sheath, 47cms out and has a blade length of 37.5cms.
The hulu or hilt, although with loss with loss at the dorsal area, is an exceptionally carved ivory type. The hulu sits in a bronze cup with an unusually wide base.
The blade displays a fine pamor surface is is of 9 luk or curves.
The blade sits within a dark timber sheath with a traditional old resin repair at the join of the upper and lower sections.
