A good old warrior from Afghanistan with a desirable hilt type.

This Afghanistan Karud or Pesh Kabz depending on who is asked, measures 45cms in its sheath, 38.5cms out and has a blade length of 28cms including the small steel bolster.

The large desirable grip slabs are horizontally cut in typical Central Asian stlye. these slabs have a simple steel grip strap running around them.

The blade is of classic form and displays hints of wootz beneath its unpolished surfaces.

The sheath has been rewrapped with a modern moleskin like leather and its original faceted steel chape remains in place.

A nice old Afghan Karud that will grade up.
