A nice practical Interwar period Kukri, Nepal/Northern India.

This example measures 46.5cms long in its sheath, 45cms long out, and carries a blade which is 33.5cms long.

The kukri's construction is a full partial tang, fixed through a steel butt-plate. Its hilt looks to be rosewood with diamond shaped bone inlay.
The sheath appears to be original to the blade. It is covered in red leather and simply bound with metal (brass?) fittings and is free from splits or breaks. The sheath is sitting within a military frog or belt suspension that is not original to the Kukri manufacture, and possibly supports the private purchase use by a soldier.

A good practical and robust kukri that would not be out of place in modern kit.
