A rare Baluchistan buckler.

This iron and brass bound hide Sipar or Buckler measures 26cms across. It's outer face is decorated with 4 large central bosses in Indian Dhal style and further decorated but applied brass fittings that have tooled surfaces.

The reverse retains its original leather knuckle pad, four iron suspension rings, and two leather hand straps which attached to these rings.
The inner hide lining of the shield has deteriorated with age.

A seldom seen shield that would grade up if desired.
