A rare silver mounted Sudanese arm dagger.

This fine arm dagger measures just under 27cms in the sheath.
Out of the sheath it is just under 25cms ad carries a very fine 15cm blade.
The hilt is black timber with minor losses dressed in very finely detailed silverwork that shows minor losses. The waist of the grip is bound in both plain and twisted silver wire.
The tooled leatherwork and arm strap both remain in fine condition.
The throat is highlighted with a piece of crocodile belly hide and the end decorated with a fine silver fitting similar to that seen on some finer Kaskara.
The blade is a very fine fullered type with an unusual profile.

A fine and rare Sudanese knife of high quality but with minor losses.
